Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront

We are locals and stayed at the hotel for a wedding with a large group. When we checked into the Hilton, they asked if we wanted Valet service. We agreed and they charged us $11. The bathrooms are small and the water pressure was really bad. It was not fun. However we got ready and went to our wedding. The beds were comfortable, but the room temperature would not budge above 73 regardless of our efforts to adjust the temperature several times. When checking out, I called the Valet service to have them get our car ready so we could leave in short order. When we arrived downstairs, the Valet service people were having personal conversation. I normally would have no problem with that - until I realized they had never attempted to get my car. I gave them my ticket after calling for the car and approximately 15 minutes later we got our car. The Valet hung around for some time for us to offer him a hefty $5 tip, but we declined. I think the staff is somewhat lazy and I think that the Hilton charges way too much money for their rooms and especially their services. I think the public in general are tired of paying for Paris Hilton’s credit card bills. Not likely to stay there again. This is the 3rd time I have stayed and the 3rd bad experience. ...read more

Outstanding hotel with a wonderful location. The rooftop pool and bar offer an amazing view The Empyrean Club level rooms provide provide a nice retreat for breakfast in the morning and cocktails in the evening. The hotel lobby, dining and pool areas are wonderfully designed, hip but also very welcoming. The only issue we had was with the evening turn down service. When we came back from dinner it smelled as if someone had been smoking while in the room. ...read more

The hotel itself was in wonderful condition. Our stay over a Holiday was ruined by a horrible experience in the restaurant. The major points of dissatisfaction included reservations made by the hostess for a time when that part of the restaurant was closed and no effort on the part of the manager to make up for the mistake. I went here just because I hate bad hotels but I was not needing the beach and other amenities. If I went back for the beach, I would stay there again.

The Hilton at Virginia Beach was great. If you are tired of staying in the old run down places, choose the Hilton! You won't be let down!

The Hilton, VA Beach, was a wonderful place to stay with the family. The location right on the beach and the 2 rooftop pools are excellent amenities. The main restaurant for dinner was extremely unpleasant due to the loud music - the food was excellent and the service matched - just not the place to go with the kids - more the place to go in a tube top and miniskirt looking for some fun. ...read more
